    Hi Mapi,

you had the tightest deadline – did you make it?

    Hi Veronica,

when you say that you have done it successfully, do you mean you got paid for it? Maybe you could think about a low tec service (like 1:1 consulting) to sell first, some way to make money with your knowledge as an initial phase., then re-invest the money you are making into building a larger platform.

my thoughts: I would agree with Vinu that a tagline might be better than trying to pack it all into one in the name itself. The three suggestions you had were all quite long.

From the keywords thrown into the discussion, „community transformation“ was popping out the most for me. „Stories“ is something my mind associates with nothing that is actually happening. No Action just stories. But the cool thing is what you actually do, what is happening and how it is changing the communities.

I know that this is not very helpful for you, but in my case I did not need to invest much to start. It was just me and a PC, really. And lots of time. Sorry that I do not have anything helpful to offer. I do know how to make you own sourdough – but that‘s missing the point, I guess 😉

    Investors, a loan, crowdfunding?

    I would join.

    Cool 🙂

do you want to add a deadline to this?

in reply to: Accountability Team #2279

    I will lead by example:

before the next office hours I will publish a blog post and share that on LinkedIn and Twitter.

    No freelancing. Business. Bam!

Today I let a client know that sure we can reschedule the date of the workshop, but this means I have to add a rescheduling fee to the invoice.

I am proud of not letting myself being pushed around like I need to be at their service whenever their plans change. Extra hassle for me to reschedule, extra fee for them. I am honestly interested on how they will take it. Maybe the initial date turns out to be fine?

You can try the free version of cashboardapp.com. It worked really well for time tracking.

Thank you so much for reaching out to your network and sharing the responses here. Although the exact numbers are not super relevant for me (different service, different place), it is super interesting to see the variation and different pricing models.

The person who said that she (I would actually bet money on that it is a woman) has only a rate of 60 dollars / h because she only had 5 years of experience made me feel sad. Only 5 years?! I don’t know about your field but I am pretty sure you can figure it out within less than 5 years … I think lower rates because you just started make sense when you have zero (or very little) reference and if you are developing a service and things are not running as smoothly as with someone who has more experience.

    I just … 5 years!
